Established 1870

The Alessandria family has made wine in Verduno since 1870. Now run by Gian Battista and his son Vittore, with 15 hectares across Verduno, Monforte and Barolo. Traditional in style, quiet in reputation — which is exactly why sommeliers love them.

A true village estate in Verduno — Barolo's smallest and northernmost commune. Run by the Burlotto and Bianco-Alessandria families. Extremely small production, traditional in method, and the unofficial guardian of Pelaverga Piccolo — a near-extinct local grape that grows only here.

Four generations of the Grasso family in Treiso — one of Barbaresco's three villages. The estate owns plots in three of the commune's most celebrated crus: Asili, Valgrande and Vallegrande. Small, family-run, traditionalist. Giulio, Paola and their daughters Paola, Valentina and Federica work every vine by hand.

The Cavallotto family has farmed the Bricco Boschis hill in Castiglione Falletto since 1929. Certified organic since 2010, traditionalist in method — native yeasts, long macerations, large Slavonian botti, no fining or filtration. The Bricco Boschis MGA is their monopole.

Founded in 2007 by Nicola Oberto with his father Federico and Vladimiro Rambaldi on the Rocche dell'Annunziata hillside in La Morra. 'Tredibèrri' is Piemontese for 'three shepherds' — the old name of the village. A young, traditional estate making Barolo in long maceration with large oak. Total production under 60,000 bottles.
